Custom fields can be added to the Details portion of any Plan or Plan Item. This allows organizations and teams to customize CrossLead with their own terminology and fields that they need to track. 

CrossLead supports the following six custom field types: 

  1. Single Line Text Field (No Text Editor) 
  2. Multi-Line Text Field with Text Editor 
  3. Date Picker – Single Date 
  4. Date Picker – Date Range 
  5. Dropdown – Single-Select 
  6. Dropdown – Multi-Select

Custom Fields for Item Details 

Custom fields can be added to Items in one of the following ways: 

  1. Based on the Plan linkage
  2. On the Item itself 

To set custom fields for all items linked to a particular Plan, navigate to that Plan. Click the gear dropdown in the top right corner, and then select “Edit Item Custom Fields.”

In the modal that appears, you will be prompted to add a label for the custom field, indicate whether it is required, and select the type of field. 

All Items linked to the Plan will inherit the custom field(s) set here, and those fields will appear at the bottom of the Item Details section in the Insights tab. If an Item is linked to more than one Plan, it will inherit all custom fields across its linked Plans. 

You can also add and remove custom fields for a particular Item, rather than setting fields based on Plan linkage. To do so, navigate to the desired Item. Click the gear dropdown in the top right corner, and then select “Edit Custom Fields.”

Custom Fields for Plan Details 

Custom fields can be set for a Plan Details section as well. To do so, navigate to the desired Plan. Click the gear dropdown in the top right corner, and then select “Edit Plan Custom Fields.”

The same modal will appear as that shown above. In the modal, you will be prompted to label, order, and format fields for your Plan Details.
